Ottawa IKEA store one of four worldwide to test living rooms based on ‘local’ style

Does a Glebe living room have a lot of wicker and mason jars full of granola on the coffee table? What is Kanata’s “style?”

Apparently Ottawa’s IKEA store is one of four chosen globally – and the only one in North America –  for a pilot program that “models in-store IKEA living rooms after inspiration from the local community.”

Swedish Ambassador to Canada Per Sjögren was scheduled to be in attendance at IKEA’S Pinecrest location Wednesday for the project launch (because of course he was) to hand out prizes.

According to the company, “the IKEA Ottawa Living Room solutions have been mirrored from local Ottawa neighbourhoods, truly reflecting the Ottawa marketplace.”

Anyone been?
